Twerk them balls, gentlemen

This advertisement for boxers by Kmart is just too damn cute.

I grew up wearing briefs. There  was a short period in my adult life, lasting only about a year or so, where I tried getting used to boxers. Supposed to be healthier or something. Not that I care about sperm count haha, but I thought it would be more comfortable with all that extra room. And boxers are more comfortable, except when I get one of my spontaneous erections and my dick gets outlined against my shorts/bermudas/pants.

Being embarrassed and self-conscious about the outline is one thing (even if in front of my partner, let alone in public), but sometimes I can’t even move much. It can be a bit too painful to move because the dick is slammed against the fabric in an awkward way. So it would be pointless to excuse myself to go somewhere private to adjust myself since I couldn’t even move in the first place. I would end up frozen while desperately visualising something really ugly or sad.

So reluctantly I finally gave up comfy cotton boxers after clinging to them for about a year, and got into boxer-briefs instead. They do nestle the goods snugly, though I found that I have to be careful to wear blends that lean more towards cotton, especially for days where I know I’m going to be all sweaty all day at the worksite. The more synthetic blends would chafe the skin of my inner (chunky) thighs after more than a few hours of sweating. It would hurt to walk by the time I went home after work and I would walk to the train station with my legs open a tad wide looking like I just got buggered, haha.

Andrew Huang

Caught this video via humour site Tastefully Offensive. Hugely talented Andrew Huang wrote the music and lyrics to this song I enjoyed, so he’s not just an excellent rapper but an amazing songwriter as well. And he’s sweetly good-looking as well!

I first came across him some weeks ago with the following video where he was creating music with unlikely objects to the theme song of TV show Breaking Bad. That’s just incredible.

Checking out his YouTube channel this time, I’ve found this multi-talented guy has many other videos of original stuff. I’ve listened to some songs and am impressed by his talent and creativity and by how polished and professional he is. He’s got a great pleasing singing voice too, as heard in this lovely ballad.

Making fun of languages: immature and mean

I first caught this video on Tastefully Offensive a few weeks ago.

I admit I laughed, not at the words but at the guy saying the German words. He was really hamming it up for comedic effect. But even then, after the first two or three words, it just wasn’t funny at all. It’s just so silly and rude.

I never understood why some languages are so admired, like French and Italian for example, and others not so much and in fact made fun of, like German. I guess how people think the languages sound has a lot to do with it. I think French and Italian are generally considered melodious and romantic.

But surely it’s only common sense that it’s not so much about the language itself, but how the speaker is using it. And the personality of the individual using the language.

If I am shy or introverted and don’t express myself well, I may end up sounding cold and aloof to some people, in whatever language I happen to be speaking in. If I’m being rude, cursing away or furiously scolding someone, I will sound downright ugly regardless of the language I’m using, including French or Italian. If I’m being polite, or feeling romantic, praising somebody or just generally being pleasant, I will sound just lovely in any language, including German.

I can’t stand comedy that resort to making fun of a language, culture, religion, country, etc, to try score humour points. What, too lazy to think up some other material? Just sad.

Update 3rd September: I just came across this video of American actress Sandra Bullock speaking fluent German while accepting an award. That’s impressive. And the words coming out her mouth, even though I have absolutely no idea what she’s saying, sound really pretty. I rest my case, haha!

And that’s how real men do it, part 2

Too damn cute! A newscaster in Ireland, with a nicely manly voice, merrily powdering his face.

Immediately reminded me of this guy in the same situation last year.

How all online reviews of restaurants should be

Reviews of restaurants and even a stripper joint that are found on the site yelp, and that are already funny to begin with, taken to new heights of hilariousness with the reviews being intrepreted by these gifted actors. By the geniuses at Gotta Kid to Feed Productions.

I came across one via tastefully offensive, and quickly went on to watch the other videos available, and enjoyed all of them immensely.

My favourite has got to be video #2, performed by Therese Plummer. I almost died laughing, till I cried. More like wept.

Another favourite is #3, featuring Brian O’Neill’s brilliant interpretation of this review.

I don’t really have favourites, I love them all!

And that’s how real men do it

Put on make up that is.

You don’t preen into the mirror with a half-pout like you think you’re Marilyn Monroe. You stare deep into it like you’re butch-talking it in your head.

You don’t smooth the powder on softly like you’re treating your face to the luxurious feel of silk.  You dab-dab-dab with quick agile strokes like you mean business, sort of like Rocky Balboa being lethal in a boxing ring, but the putting on makeup version.

But as for the ‘oh thank goodness that’s all done and I’m all pretty again now’ part… hmmm, there’s room for improvement there. And ditto for the ‘oh fuck’ look right at the end LOL.

Poor guy!! I don’t use make up but I know the feeling of wanting the ground to swallow me whole so I could just disappear! Like one time ages ago when I got careless and didn’t lock the bathroom door and someone caught me jerking off. But that didn’t happen on TV haha!
